This 32 page photo coffee table book features images captured in Charlotte North Carolina by Creating Exposure Through The Arts teen students, former students and instructors. The project originated in 2008 when Joseph Johnson, a 14 year old student, got a tattoo in memory of his mother who passed away when he was 2 years old. Tattoos featured in the book include couples (The Wrights, The Wootens), tattoo artists (Crystana “Dutchess” Lattimore formerly of VH1 Black Ink Crew, Marcus Tate, Allex Redd), Photographers (Justin “UncleJut” McErlian, Justin Engle), Barbers (Brandon Locklear, Barry Broadway), NFL Veterans (Thomas Davis, Captain Munnerlyn), NBA Veteran/Charlotte Native (Anthony Morrow) Artists (DeNeer Davis), and behind the scene images of students and staff. Portions of the funds raised with be used to expand the Behind The Ink DocuSeries regionally and internationally.
